Chrome version 86 is being deployed this week and many users on older computers and mobile devices are now reporting problems with jigsaw puzzle pieces moving sluggishly. Many Edge browser users are affected as well because Microsoft’s Edge browser now uses the same browser engine as the Chrome browser. The problem is happening because Chrome version 86 has dropped support for hardware acceleration in certain older computer models as as well as older mobile devices.
Some users may find the puzzles still play well in the Firefox browser, and all affected users should find the puzzles play well in Internet Explorer (although we do not normally recommend that browser). More information can be found at the bottom of our hardware acceleration page.
