Completed in February 1874, the Piedras Blancas Lighthouse was constructed to guide ships along the central California coastline at a time when navigation was much more difficult than today. This 110-foot tall tower shown in this jigsaw puzzle continues to stand as a reminder of times past. The concrete has weathered the 135 years of history and continues to stand tall above everything else today.
