This beautiful Chief Pontiac hood ornament adorned some models of the 1951 Pontiac in a day in time when hood ornaments were king. The common models had an all metal hood ornament in this same style, but the hood ornament of the deluxe Pontiac models used an amber face that was lit by a recessed bulb when the car’s running lights were turned on. The hood ornament in this photo is showing its age a bit, but it’s still looks great.
