Japanese Shrine Jigsaw Puzzle

Japanese Shrine Jigsaw Puzzle

Fushimi Inari Taisha is the foremost shrine of the Shinto diety Inari Okami. Inari has long been viewed as a guardian of business, and as such, the numerous Torii gates that line the walkways of the shrine have been donated by successful Japanese businesses. The famous red Torii shown in this jigsaw puzzle lead to the inner shrine. While Shinto shrines usually keep the idol image closed up, the Fushimi Inari Taisha has an open view of the mirror that serves as the image. This keeps in the practice of Inari shrines as a whole. Located in Kyoto, the Fushimi Inari Taisha draws several million faithful over the Japanese New Year holiday alone.
