Galleria Vittorio Emanuele is an arcade in Milan, Italy. An arcade is an old world, enclosed market venue that was the precursor to today’s shopping malls. The stores are basically exterior style buildings, but with arched glass coverings over the open space between the buildings. The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele was completed in 1877 and was named for the first king of a united Italy.
