Hohenschwangau Castle is located in the mountains of Bavaria, Germany. The beauty of the castle’s setting is evident in this jigsaw puzzle. The castle was built by King Maximilian II in the 1830s and was the childhood residence of his son King Ludwig. King Ludwig became known as the builder of the more famous Neuschwanstein Castle which is located close to Hohenschwangau Castle.
