This jigsaw puzzle shows the core of India’s Taj Mahal. Many people know the Taj Mahal was built in tribute to the memory of a beloved wife who died in childbirth. However, what was Mumtaz, the woman who inspired Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, like in real life? Revered for her beauty and grace, she was also admired for her compassion for the poor and for her gentle wisdom. She was her husband’s trusted confident and constant companion, his respect for her so great he gave her free use of the imperial seal, and his love so enduring it found expression in one of the world’s most perfect works of architecture, the Taj Mahal.
