The Aalborg Zoo in Nordjylland, Denmark is home to several leopards, including the leopard featured in this jigsaw puzzle. Leopards are actually part of the cat family and most closely related to lions, tigers, and jaguars. These beautiful creatures are seriously threatened by hunters and poachers because of their luxurious furs. Right now, it is found only in parts of Africa, India, China and the Middle East. Though they are considered to have short legs in proportion to the rest of their body, the leopard is incredibly fast and can run at speeds up to 36 miles per hour. Their speed is their main way of catching their food. Leopards will kill and eat almost anything it can outrun.
