Christopher has distanced himself from the mess and is trying to look innocent in this jigsaw puzzle. It doesn’t occur to him that only cats enjoy shredding toilet paper rolls, and he’s the only cat nearby. Even F. Lee Bailey would have had trouble putting together a defense for this case.
