Found all across North America, the American Robin is easily identified by the bright orange feathers its chest. Color patterns are slightly different for males and females, and they are often found on lawns and golf courses, parks, open fields, and flower gardens. The Robin in this online jigsaw puzzle was spotted in a park in Walnut Creek, California.
The Robin has a diet that consists of small insects, earthworms, and snails. They also eat different types of fruit such as juniper berries and chokecherries. Female Robins use twigs, dead grass, paper, moss, and feathers to build a strong nest that is reinforced with mud and lined with soft grass.
