The tree frog is so named because it spends the majority of its life in the trees. The tree frog can be found in many places around the world. Tree frogs have sticky pads on their toes allowing them to easily stay in the trees without falling. Many tree frogs can change color to blend with their surroundings. Tree frogs spend the winter burrowed in the ground where they are protected from freezing by the presence glycerol in their body. The tree frog’s bright red eyes, as seen in this online jigsaw puzzle, are thought to make predators think twice, giving the tree frog an opportunity to escape.
