Writing Painting Jigsaw Puzzle

Writing (1905 – 1909) by Gari Melchers. Born in Detroit, Melchers lived and worked in a variety of places in his lifetime, including many years spent in Paris, Germany, and Holland. At the onset of World War I, he returned to America and split most of his time between his studio in New York and his house in rural Virginia. After marrying in 1903, he began painting interior domestic scenes, filled with light and color. His wife, Corinne, often served as his model and is captured here at their house in Holland.
