Terms of Use for Custom Jigsaw Puzzles

Notice to users

Your creation and use of custom jigsaw puzzles using Jigsaw Explorer's website and Jigsaw Explorer's jigsaw puzzle software platform ("the puzzle platform") constitute your acceptance of these terms. Carolina Road Media, LLC (CRM; parent company and owner of the Jigsaw Explorer website and the puzzle platform) grants you permission to use the puzzle platform only while your use of the puzzle platform remains in compliance with the "terms of use" stated herein.

CRM reserves the sole right to disable use of the puzzle platform to any website if, at CRM's sole discretion, it determines that website's use of the puzzle platform does not comply with the "terms of use" stated herein.

Copyright Ownership

The jigsaw puzzle platform is owned and copyrighted by CRM. Use of the puzzle platform does not confer any rights or ownership of the puzzle platform to anyone using the puzzle platform.

Any image specified as a puzzle subject for a custom jigsaw puzzle created by the puzzle platform is the property of the copyright owner of that image. An image may only be specified for use as a puzzle subject image in the puzzle platform by that image's copyright owner, or by a website that has received license or permission from the image's copyright owner to use the image for that purpose.

With the exception of short term image caching for the purpose of optimizing the puzzle platform's server and network performance and costs, CRM will not retain a copy of any image specified for use as a custom jigsaw puzzle subject in the puzzle platform. Nor does CRM use any custom puzzle subject image for any purpose other than rendering the image as a jigsaw puzzle through use of the puzzle platform.

Authorized Use

The custom jigsaw puzzle links created with the puzzle platform may be used in websites and shared via social media, email, or any other means of distribution.

Custom jigsaw puzzles created with the puzzle platform may be embedded into your website using the HTML code snippet provided by the puzzle platform.

Unauthorized Use

No portion of the puzzle platform may be embedded into any website by any means other than through use of the HTML code snippet provided by the puzzle platform for that purpose.

You may not copy, modify, decompile, disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, create a derivative work of, or transfer any portion of the puzzle platform. You may not remove, obscure, or obfuscate the puzzle platform's logo or copyright line.

The puzzle platform may not be used in conjunction with any puzzle images, or on any website, that might be deemed illegal or inappropriate. CRM claims sole discretion on what constitutes an inappropriate image or website. Examples include, but are not limited to, depictions of pornography, animal cruelty, violence, threats of violence, and expressions of hate.

Limited Warranty

The puzzle platform is provided on an "as is" basis. CRM disclaims all warranties relating to the puzzle platform, whether expressed or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Neither CRM nor anyone else who has been involved in the creation, production, or delivery of the puzzle platform shall be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising out of the use or inability to use the puzzle platform, even if CRM has been advised of the possibility of such damages or claims. The person using the puzzle platform bears all risk as to the quality and performance of the puzzle platform. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you to the extent that liability is by law incapable of exclusion or restriction.

Indemnification

You and CRM agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the other party from and against any loss, cost, or damage of any kind (including reasonable outside attorneys’ fees) to the extent arising out of its breach of these "terms of use", and/or its negligence or willful misconduct.

Terms Changes

Click here to receive email notices whenever this custom jigsaw puzzles terms of use policy is significantly modified.
